SEATTLE, WASH. – Seattle Sounders FC 2 announced on Wednesday that it has exercised the 2017 option of midfielder Irvin Parra and signed midfielder Lorenzo Ramos. The club has also added forward Javorn Stevens to its roster, pending the receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate.

"2016 provided another valuable step in our long-term vision for the club," said Sounders Head Scout Kurt Schmid. "We're pleased with many improvements that S2 continues to make, including a younger core and multiple players getting looks with the First Team."

Ramos signed with S2 after playing for the club as an Academy signing in the 2016 USL season. A member of the Sounders FC Academy since 2011, the midfielder made 14 appearances and recorded one goal in a 3-2 win against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2.

Stevens joins S2 from Antigua & Barbuda Premier Division club Hoppers FC. The 18-year-old has earned three caps for his country's national team, while also playing for the Benna Boys’ U20 side. In February, Stevens is set to compete in the 2017 CONCACAF U20 Championship in Costa Rica.

Additionally, the club has declined the contract options of defenders Devon Fisher and Michael Nelson, midfielders Willy Kapawa and Mark O'Ojong and forward Myron Samuel.

The following players from the 2016 roster are currently out of contract: goalkeeper Matt Bersano, defender Brandon John, midfielders Emir Alihodzic and Amadou Sanyang and forward Carlos Patino. Midfielder Jordan Schweitzer, who signed a Homegrown Player contract in January 2016, was also out of contract and signed with Orlando City B in December.
