The Richmond Kickers claimed a 4-1 win against Icon FC in the second round of the U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday night, setting up a third-round contest where they will face the club’s MLS affiliate D.C. Orlando Earns Victory In Ocala

Behind one goal in either half, Orlando City SC advanced past the PDL’s Ocala Stampede 2-1 on Tuesday night in the second round of the 100th edition of Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at Forest High School. With the win, the Lions will host Major League Soccer’s (MLS) Colorado Rapids next Tuesday, May 28, at Fifth Third Bank Field at the Florida Citrus Bowl.

MLS Announces New York City FC

Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber announced today that a partnership of global sports powers, Manchester City Football Club and the New York Yankees, has acquired the League’s 20th expansion club. The new team will be named New York City Football Club (NYCFC) and expects to begin play in 2015.
